The employment path of printing students
with the vigorous development of China's printing industry in recent years, the number of high-end technical management talents has been running out. Not only many technical secondary schools, but also some well-known domestic colleges and universities are also optimistic about the prospect of setting up the printing oil pump non working sound brush major, and have opened relevant colleges and departments. It coincides with the continuous expansion of college enrollment in recent years, so for a time, students majoring in printing emerged like "bamboo shoots", flooding all kinds of talent markets. Then, how have most of them developed after entering the society? Can the employment of printing engineering students really go smoothly
around 2000, there were only no more than five colleges and universities that granted bachelor's degrees in printing, and few colleges and universities that had the right to grant master's degrees. The employment ratio of students majoring in printing once reached 1:11, far ahead of many popular majors in that year, and became the focus of competition. In those years, the enrollment of printing major continued to expand, and the pace was faster than that of other departments in the same period
the reserve of printing professionals here has begun, and enterprises there are also eager to try and prepare to select suitable talents for the future development of their company. At that time, there was also a good historical background: the printing industry was in a period of prosperity in China. It was a well-known secret in the industry that "as soon as the printing press opened, money rolled in" for enterprises of all sizes. At the same time, the continuous introduction of foreign excellent technology also made the introduction of talents by enterprise leaders unprecedented urgent
so it hit it off immediately. Everyone is waiting for the release of senior printing talents in the new era. Because of the good treatment, the printing undergraduates who graduated in those years basically did not choose to take the postgraduate entrance examination, and they would stabilize their jobs very early. And because it is particularly popular, as long as I want, the vast majority will come to the more developed Pearl River Delta, Yangtze River Delta and other places in China. That is to say, such excellent employment performance has also stimulated more students to finally choose printing after ten years of poverty. It seems that a virtuous employment system has basically taken shape
however, the data survey after a few years showed the opposite survey results: the proportion of students majoring in printing who are still engaged in this major after five years ranked first from the bottom among all basic colleges and departments, in other words, basically all printers will choose to change careers. Moreover, the number of people who have been serving the same company also ranks low in many majors, which also seems to show that the printing students are uncertain and change their minds
once such a situation occurs, it will be like a spark and will become more and more intense. Frequent job changes have finally attracted complaints from employment enterprises. Therefore, in addition to some enterprises that really have strong strength to attract and retain talents in all aspects, they still have a strong interest in college printers, more and more domestic enterprises choose to avoid. At that time, there was a saying circulating among the senior management of printing enterprises that "I would rather pay a high price to hire professional technicians of printing than cultivate those college students who have not yet determined their nature and have high goals but low hands."
printing undergraduates began to feel unprecedented pressure: in an instant, the number of employers decreased a lot, and the treatment also decreased a lot. A large proportion of people who could not accept it at the moment accounted for a large part. Choosing to take the postgraduate entrance examination seemed to be a good way out, so the number of people taking the postgraduate examination began to surge in those years, constantly reaching new highs. However, there are only a small number of people who finally squeeze through the single log bridge. More students still face the problem of going to society. In this case, the employment choice is somewhat forced by the element of helplessness
but if you really come to the printing market, there will be some "terms" that are difficult for printers to accept:
first, girls studying printing have no advantage in the talent market. In the printing talent recruitment market, the phenomenon of "son preference" is everywhere. Many enterprises write "limited to men" in the first article of recruitment conditions. Although the proportion of girls in this major is very small, the tensile test of rubber will be a 100% disaster when such restrictions fall on everyone's head
second, the recruitment requirements for boys will be somewhat strange. Usually, if men are limited in the first condition, there will be the following requirements: "height a, weight B", etc., resulting in the impression that "people who are not strong and strong are not allowed to enter". It's not that students majoring in printing are not ready to bear hardships, but in the face of such naked requirements, many people will still flinch
third, even if you really enter the front line of the factory, you still can't give full play to your strengths. China's silk screen printing enterprises now account for a large proportion of the printing market, and usually teach students offset printing, CTP, etc. in schools. Although there are similarities, there will still be great differences. Moreover, in school, the attitude of teachers and professors towards silk screen printing has also affected generations of students to some extent. This kind of "inferior" thing cannot make college students, especially the arrogant students who have just graduated, willing to pay
fourth, if you really happen to enter an enterprise with suitable conditions, you still have to undergo some tempering. No one will invite students to be leaders when they come. To be honest, basically no students have this ability, which is common in many majors. However, among the printing students, the "poor window and hard work for ten years" has earned the same working environment and little difference in wages as workers. Especially compared with some students of other majors in Universities: there is no elegance in entering and leaving the office building, there is no stimulation of high salary, but they often face 24-hour shifts. These all add up to a big test for newly graduated college students
the above does not include the general maladjustment of college students in their infancy and the inevitable tests in the process of "what they have learned and used". All this ultimately led to disappointing results for everyone
of course, this does not mean that the "high opening and low going" of the employment market of printing students should be attributed to society and employers. In view of the particularity of the industry, the author believes that if printing students and relevant people engaged in printing higher education want to break out of the tight encirclement, they should at least think more in the following aspects:
first, do not blindly publicize the primary employment rate of printing Majors. Due to the large number of printing enterprises in China, the demand for printers in the whole market has been very strong. But don't think this is the best way to avoid "graduation is unemployment". Although the starting point of bachelor's degree or higher has been regarded as an absolute "leader" in the printing industry, the vast majority of enterprises do not need "empty paper" talents, so those encouraging data may have nothing to do with you
second, we will no longer blindly expand the number and enrollment ratio of printing colleges and universities. Similarly, due to the high employment rate at one time, the number of printing colleges and universities in various regions has also been rising in recent years. However, the differences between software and hardware facilities will eventually be exposed to students. In addition, the continuous expansion of enrollment mentioned above and the rise in the number of students have also led to a shortage of teacher resources, a reduction in class hours, and a shorter experiment... Graduation will lead to more employment competition
third, recognize the discipline particularity of printing major. Printing is an ancient industry, and its automation level is still far behind many modern industries, so there will be a lot of judgments based on experience in production. There are even some from the "teaching by example" beside machine tools. This special discipline is different from the general sense of higher talent training, so its education mode also needs innovation
this should be understood from two aspects:
a school education. Since printing has this unusual disciplinary feature, a more targeted approach should be taken in teaching. "Increasing experimental class hours and strengthening hands-on ability" is a good solution. In these short years, the phenomenon of "returning to the furnace" of college students after graduation is everywhere. Many people will choose technical secondary schools to cultivate their practical ability. Rather than spend energy and money in the future, it is better to practice excellent skills during college
even our school can invite front-line teachers with practical experience to act as guest teachers. Their words and deeds teach students to understand front-line knowledge and experience front-line culture earlier
b students themselves. Also due to the characteristics of this discipline, if your university career starts with the printing major, then you must adhere to your choice and be prepared to pay for it. This major is doomed to need a solid foundation in front-line practice, so as to win room for development and rise for yourself. So don't envy students of other majors anymore. It's just the nature of the work is different. In addition, our development goal is to become engineers in the future. Where is the reason why engineers do not have rich practical experience
IV. be familiar with the realistic trends and dynamics of the printing market. A typical example is "silk printing". Although it has distinctive characteristics compared with other printing methods, it seems that due to environmental protection and the particularity of model speed, the prospect is not clear enough. But because of these shortcomings, we have a world to show our strength. We should not be biased against it from the beginning of enrollment, which will also be conducive to faster and better work in actual production in the future
in addition, now silk screen printing is widely used in combination printing with its special advantages, and combination printing is recognized as one of the most value-added printing methods. This alone should be the driving force for us to master silk screen printing knowledge
there are many similar examples. In the study of printing engineering, we should not only master advanced methods, but also learn some basic knowledge according to the actual situation of our country and be familiar with the actual situation of the printing market
v. pay attention to expanding the extension and connotation of the major. If the understanding of the word "printing" is limited to machine operation, college students have no special advantages compared with ordinary technical secondary school students, but if we expand the connotation and extension of "printing", there will be some new discoveries
first of all, students of printing engineering will have unique advantages in any production process related to printing. Compared with the grass-roots level, there are PMC, QC, technologist, Captain, etc. in the workshop. With the first-line experience of these multiple processes, you will benefit a lot when you go to the leading position in the future. However, it is the diversity of this work that requires us to cover a wider range of printing knowledge, such as economic management, composition design, logistics packaging, etc. if we can lay a good foundation during school, it will add a lot of chips to our future
for students with solid professional foundation, entering graduate school is another good way out. Generally, there is a good experimental working environment here, and students who have received higher education can give full play to what they have learned and use their knowledge to promote the process of China's printing industry
there are also other jobs in printing related industries: such as printing associations at all levels
